Easter 2009

Wow, what a weekend!! Saturday we had the family over to color eggs and bake cookies... good times! Here's a sample:
We colored 36 eggs, then stuffed somewhere over 120 plastic eggs with candy and prizes, and somewhere in there I baked cookies with the kids.

Madison and I had really fit a lot into yesterday... but she still woke me up at 5:30 this morning to see what the Easter Bunny left, LOL. We had the in-laws over in the morning, then we headed out to my Dad's for the annual family BBQ. Now mind you we had more than 170 total eggs to hide for the Easter egg hunt, but it still only took 9 kids something like 10 minutes to find every last one of them! Here's a picture of Madison showing me her loot:

She must have spent more than half the afternoon blowing bubbles:

I uploaded 50 photos from the weekend's festivities on Flickr, check 'em out! I rode my bicycle two other nights this week... but after my ride tonight, I'm a little sore, and a lot tired. How was your Easter weekend, Internet?

That's great. We've never really done anything much for Easter and it's only gotten worse since moving away from our families. It's hard to carry out some sort of tradition when you have no family to share it with! Of course this year I had an excuse for not doing anything. Natalie did get a new DS1 for Easter, and Ruben bought her a basket cause her friend kept asking her what she got - but at 9 she's a bit too old for the easter bunny.

Quiet. Very quiet. Church, prime rib, then The Masters.
