Let's Make a Snowman
Here is a view of the Spring Mountain range on the West end of Vegas. What's cool here in the desert... You can go visit snow, then leave it.

I always loved going tubing at Mt. Charleston. That was something special every winter. Hot chocolate at the Mt. Charleston Inn by the big fire and tubing all day long.
I was actually leaving the South end of the Strip yesterday morning, when I saw these mountains in the distance.. I drove all the way to Summerlin to look at them closer.. I didn't get get very good photos.. but it was a great sight!
I got a text message from my friend who lives in Henderson...he has four inches of snow at his house and it's still coming down.
I'm watching the 10 o'clock news and the weather guy just said it's the worst snow storm in 29 years and LAS is shut down because of no de=icing equipment.
Wow.
So pretty! That's a nice thing about CA too :) I love visiting snow!
Randy: Tubing at Mt. Charleston rocks, I haven't done it in YEARS.
Jiggins: It was a beautiful view, eh? Too bad you didn't get photos you liked.
Fred: Yeah, it's expected to stick around for awhile. The whole city is pretty lost, we don't keep equipment to deal with any snow in the city, really...
Barbara: Thank you! Guess you guys don't see much of this stuff either?
