Well It Could Have Sparkled, It Really Should Have Sparkled

Remember when I smashed my forehead with my hatch door? Well it finally healed, and yeah - I'm going to have a nasty scar there forever. Well for a week or so I was seeing this dark spot inside the scar, and I couldn't figure out what it was. Then on Sunday it was pretty big, so I'm thinking, WTF? Am I gonna get giant clogged pores here, on top of this ugly scar!!??? So staring at it, I couldn't help it - LOL - I squeezed at it because I couldn't take it anymore. Do you know what that dark spot was in my head? Anyone, Anyone?

It was a fleck of blue paint, that had been in my forehead since July 6.

Stop laughing. I hear you laughing!

Are you serious? DId no one notice because it was over the place where you bumped your head so they thought it was part of the healing process. Wow. That has to be some sort of record for the amount of time a speck of paint has been on a human body or something.

Hey I once dug a piece of metal out of the side of my finger that must have been in there for months. I scraped up the side of finger against a car, it slowly healed, but I had a small lump in it that occasionally would become infected. One day I was playing with the infected scar tissue and popped it open and noticed something sticking out slightly, I worked at it and half a pint of blood later I had this half inch long piece of metal the width of a dipstick sitting in my hand that had been stuck along the side of my finger. Ouch. Either that or it was the aliens...

VP: You know it wasn't that noticeable, it was no bigger than like the head of a small nail. The body does amazing things to heal itself...

Lloyd: Ow, that sounds painful. My little fleck of paint holds nothing on that!

Oh my. I totally didn't even notice that when you were at our house.

But it is pretty funny...

I'm happy that I had my head looked at when I had the Expedition trunk slammed on my noggin. No paint but they were able to clean out a lot of stuff (amazing how much hair wants to go right back into the scalp when in can.) I'm sure that it won't scar that bad. Just be sure to show me the war wound next time I see ya.
