What's On My iPod

Next - Too Close - Without fail this song makes me wanna get up and dance.

L7 - Pretend We're Dead - Go figure, this is (was) an all girl band?

Exposé - Come Go With Me - Can't go wrong with a little Exposé.

Faith No More - Epic - I'm pretty sure this video was created after a night smokin'... something.

The Assembly - Never Never - This is from the 80's, and the lead singer's voice takes some getting used to, so if you've never heard the song, listen more than once. It is a beautiful, sad song.

Are you getting back into the swing after the holidays? Are you glad the holidays are over? Hope your weekend is off to a fabulous start!

Some great songs here, hon. Of course, I knew you'd get an Exposé video in sometime. "Epic" is a classic (love the piano) and "Pretend That We're Dead" gets forgotten too often... can't think of when I heard it last.

Posting "Never Never" was brilliant. Sure, I believe 1983 was the best year for music but the song has other merits. This was the third project by Vince Clarke after forming Depeche Mode and Yazoo (just before Erasure.) Yes, Feargal Sharkey has a very unusual vocal delivery. This was his first big hit outside of his work with the Undertones (he would later score solo hits with "A Good Heart" and "You Little Theif.") The song and video mark a very special time in music for me. Thanks. B)

What have you got against a little fish floppin' about? :-)

Videos in the late 80s/early 90s could certainly be crappy, no? At least MTV PLAYED videos back then, though.
