Barbara and Nik asked about my tattoo after I posted the picture of my new sandals... so I thought I'd post a picture of it. I thought I had before but realized I hadn't!
I got this unicorn tattoo in 1994, it was not a pleasant experience since it's on my ankle! I nearly passed out... but interestly enough, I'm considering another. Only considering at this point, as I can't decide where I'd put it. This tattoo has seen a lot of years, tanning (sun exposure is rough on tattoos), and skin stretching (man my ankles were swollen during pregnancy). It's faded quite a bit and could really use some touch-up, although I am not sure I'll ever do it.

Is there a story behind why you got it? Does it have any particular meaning or is it just for the heck of it?

Nik: When I was a little girl, they were the most fascinating magical thing in the whole world for me - I wanted so much to find one...
Its really cute! I have had my ankle done 6 times because I kept adding to the tattoos I already had. I think you should get another one! Lets see, where should you get it???? How about the back of your shoulder?
Oh, that's really cute. I've often thought about getting a little cat paw-print somewhere (original, aren't I!), but not sure if I can work up the courage.
