Week Update

Whoa! I was gone for a week. Let's see... what have I been up to...

We painted the kitchen! I still have the pantry door to paint, but otherwise, it's done. Here's a before and after (sorry, not the same angle, but you get the idea):

Before

After

There are more pictures in my Home Improvement set at Flickr. The rest of main areas of the house look really dull and boring now - we're going to have to move forward with the rest of the painting faster than we thought.

Saturday after Karl and I painted, we caught "Spiderman 3". It was pretty good. While I found myself looking at my watch a couple of times, I was really happy how they ended the trilogy. I can't see why they'd do anymore, all was wrapped up into a neat little package and I think most questions were answered. You know how much I appreciate tidy endings!

Sunday Madison's aunt Toni threw a birthday party for Breana and Madison (their birthdays are one week apart). I decided not to have a party for Maddy since we're going to Disneyland, so Toni was nice enough to include Maddy in Breana's birthday celebration. In fact, Madison spent the entire weekend at her house enjoying time with the whole family; she had such a blast and Karl and I were able to get the kitchen done quickly and efficiently by ourselves. There are also pictures from the party at the Flickr link.

Speaking of Flickr - I found they have upload tools you can install to your desktop to send directly to your Flickr account. You can still do all the tools possible at the website, but it's faster and more convenient. I'm sooooo happy I paid that small fee of $24.95 for the pro account.

Memorial day was a quiet day. We didn't do anything but stay home and get some things done before we loafed! Amy and Ken stopped by - they were the first to see the new kitchen!

I'm counting down the days - four days until vacation, eight 'til Disneyland, wooohooo!!!

Nice and bright and cheerful. The yellow works really well with the cabinets too.

I dig the color.

So, you liked Spiderman 3? I've heard some pretty crappy reviews of it, so it's good to hear something positive. I really enjoyed the first 2.

The kitchen does look good. I didn't think yellow would but it does. Hmmm, maybe this is why you posted the "Yellow Ledbetter" clip later... I'm still afraid of paint.

I plan to post something about Spider-man 3 in a few but I'll probably just forget that I plan to post it. I do think it was fair.
