My Apathy

There are so many of my favorite bloggers who really like to talk about current issues. They inspire me to think on each side of so much happening in our big ol' universe. I feel like I've been in an apathetic funk - and I've almost completely cut news out of my daily routine, it's all so depressing and heavy. I haven't given up my cheeky gossip news reading, however - which is not any better, I know. I find it all very funny and mindless. I hope this is just a phase, I've always really cared about current events (okay, minus politics). I guess it's a damn good thing I didn't get that journalism degree, afterall... which leads me to another episode of what's in my head:

I've become addicted to diet Mt. Dew. Where has this been all my life?

Coworker S. reminded me of the movie Legend this morning. (Click to see the IMDB page for it.) How did I forget this movie? I must add it to my collection!! Come on, you know you LOVED this movie. It was a great date movie in the 80's, wouldn't you agree? I'm a fan of Tim Curry, and he certainly didn't disappoint!

I had a strange dream about someone else from my past last night. No, not the ONE who still rents space in my head. Another one that I hadn't expected to be popping up in my dreams, although he does every once in awhile. I'll have to take some time to write about him. It's a funny thing about me - I don't spend much time with the what-ifs, because what good will that do? But I do spend a lot of time in my head being introspective about where I've been.

Happy Thursday!! One more day 'til the weekend...

The world is pretty depressing lately. I can see why you would withdraw for a little while. I won't get preachy on the politics (too much).
Has Diet Mountain Dew taken over for Starbucks? Have you tried the new Cherry Coke Zero? That's our new soda craze.

Tom Cruise was in that too wastnt he?

I met Tim Curry once on Balboa Penninsula late at nigh after a showing of Rocky Horror.

Be careful with the Mountain Dew, seriously, I had a friend get sick from too much...but she was drinking a lot of it.

I limit my news to online headlines and snippets. The news is depressing and politics frustrating.
The celeb gossip blogs are a fun distraction but I'm tired of photos of nip slips and missing panties.
I prefer my gossip blogs with more snark less nipple! :)

I don't watch the news at all. I get inundated too much at work.

I love Legend! I need to buy that one too!
