A Proud Mommy Moment

I picked up Madison from daycare today - when she saw me, she smiled and said "Hi." I almost cried. She's not a baby anymore!

Wait until they turn into teenagers and just give you a grunt. It's still a "hi", so I'll take it.

Sounds like the daycare thing is going well! I love those moments, they make you smile and make you want to cry at the same time. I agree with Fred, the grunt thing is the language I often hear from Josh these days. Grunt, food?, grunt, ignore...

They start talking, then they never shut up, then they become teenagers and you wish they would start talking again.

Oh yes. My li'l smooth operator has full conversations with me now (4 years old). I'm so happy for her. she's so smart, but she's growing up sooooo fast!
