Cornucopia

Cornucopia is one of my favorite words. I can remember the very day I learned it. I must have used it in every single sentence I could for a solid 2 weeks in the 3rd grade. Tell me, what are words that just tingle when you say them?

INXS: Rockstar. Wil had to go last night. He irritated me from day one, he thinks he's so damn hot; it was his downfall. I was so glad that INXS saw it too. Suzie did a great job singing "Never Tear Us Apart", one of my INXS favs (there was a little too much drama in her stage performance, but she nailed the emotion in the song). Someone tell me Ty doesn't kick serious ass on stage.

I've been going through track tags on my music library. I got through the letter B in an hour and a half. That scares me a little - I could be doing this for awhile. I decided I needed a break... I should be busy catching up on my Harry Potter reading, I'm trying to finish re-reading Order of the Phoenix before my new book arrives on or around next Tuesday. I'll have to try tomorrow. I'm off work Friday and Monday. My daycare is going to be out of town. Awww, darn, two extra days with Madison. :)

A coworker/friend and I have talked recently about blogging. While I think he does find it to be good reading, I don't think he's quite sure it's something he'd like to actually do. So I thought I'd post a list of those things I find great about blogging:

1. You can be as anonymous as you want to be. Don't give your real name...who cares. Just have something to say.

2. You're in control on content. Some are quite political. Some are crude. There's even blogs that slam celebrities (I love this one: Go Fug Yourself).

3. It's a great way to keep in touch with friends and family. I don't get to sit and chat on the phone with friends much. I don't even LIKE talking on the phone. So this is a great forum for me.

4. Making new friends. It's a great way to converse with people from all over the country, and all over the world. People with similar interests, or people you just find interesting. For example, there's Moose all the way out there in Indiana, who has a great blog. Flattened By Life

Help me out. What are some reasons you like blogging?

I have so many favorite words- Top 3 are: insipid, plethora, and indigenous.

I enjoy blogging because 1)I release some of my stress (when I am teaching) 2) keeping in touch with friends (you are an example- I do not see us talking on the phone, but we keep in touch with each others life) 3) I learn a lot from other people as well and 4) makes me realize that I have a lot to be thankful for.

peculiar: I just like the way is sounds.

I was also glad to see Wil go. He was so smarmy, it seemed as though he was stalking his next prey from the stage.

I blog to break the boredom of having to write procedures for technicians who should already know how to do the stuff I am explaining.

I blog to break up my writers block when doing analyses of the various economic conditions of debter nations for an economy class I am taking for my MBA.

I blog so when Alzheimers kicks in, I can read about my past conquests (or lack thereof).

I blog so I can write silly comments on other people's blogs with the hope they will write something on mine (boy, I do need a life!)

I can release the demons and can stop talking back to them.
