Shirt and Tie Not Required

Thanks everyone for such kind well-wishes. Madison had a MUCH better day. She'll probably be back to 100% in a day or two. We're so thankful, it was a scary couple of days (some of it is new parent syndrome as well, I'm sure).

I went to a Catholic baptism today... and I couldn't believe how short it actually was. Anyone who's ever been to any Catholic event knows these things last forever. The priest kept it to the point and there were three babies baptised in under an hour. I was a surprised by the attire people believe is acceptable to wear to church these days. Of course it's been nearly 20 years since I attended a Catholic mass, but what I remember being my Sunday clothes apparently isn't the norm anymore! There was a grandmother in another one of the families who had these tight hotpants on with a torn sleeveless t-shirt, and she had the full-on tight-curl boufant going on. A grandmother!! A few of us watched in disbelief - and I could feel the flames of Hell tickling my backside as I stared at her.

Hope Monday is kind to you. :) I am heading back to work and a full desk. I spent moments of my vacation checking voicemail, email, and handling pieces of a project from home when Madison was sleeping. That was all to ensure Monday is kind to me, as well.

Sorry about that guys... but it is forever scarred on my brain, so I had to share it with the world. :)
