Can you see the bird in the middle of the picture? That's a hummingbird! She built a nest in the tree right outside my window, and I hadn't noticed until the lady in the office next to me pointed it out (I face away from the windows unless I'm daydreaming, LOL). So one of the guys in the office took a picture of her - isn't she beautiful? I don't know that I've ever seen one that wasn't in flight!I'm going to have to gaze outside a bit more, I think. ;)

You should put up some feeders near your windows at home, then you could see them all the time. Our house is surounded by hummingbirds.
We have hummers here - they love hibiscus bushes. But, I've never seen them in a nest. Cool.
I don think I have ever seen one sitting still either. pretty neat!

i've also never seen one that wasn't flying. It certainly is beautiful.
We have two that live near our house because they are always buzzing around when we go out for our bike rides. One day one of them landed on my bike seat. I held my breath because I had never been so close to one before. It was only for a moment but I loved it. Hummingbirds are my favorite!
