Red Rock Canyon Hike

Madison and I went on a hike at Redrock with the in-laws this morning... she actually completed a three-mile hike! We went back to Pine Creek Canyon, and this time of year we got to see a waterfall at the very end of the trailhead (bonus!).

I must have really worn her out, she's crashed on the couch. Here's a couple of photos, but of course there's more at Flickr.

How cool! We went to Lost Creek two weeks ago and saw the waterfall there. I love that because they are unexpected to see in the desert.

I miss hiking at Red Rock and Mt. Charleston. You know....I once completed the switchback trail to the highest peak on Mt. Charleston.....it was awesome!

I'm so jealous that you have so many incredible places for hiking! Are they in walking distance, or do you have to drive to them? We have a few forest preserves around, but they aren't as pretty as your desert ones! I love the pic of Madison in the tree skeleton :-)
