So I had a root canal done this morning... and if you've been around here for awhile, you know my irrational fear of the dentist. Actually it's not so much my dentist; I love my dentist. It is, however, what he does to my mouth that keeps me awake at night. It didn't help that I was hearing horror stories from everyone around me, as I was a root canal virgin. I was so convinced this procedure would mimic some form of torture, that I took the entire day off. :)
It actually wasn't all that bad, I was nice and numb. But you know that smell when the dentist is drilling your teeth? That burning bone smell? That's probably one of THE most horrible smells on the planet. My dentist told me I'd probably be pretty sore after the Novocaine wore off, and he wasn't kidding... but I still have the whole day off. I've already hit the treadmill and done the laundry, and it's not even noon. WORD!
So... what's left on my to-do list...
Oh, that would be nothing. Sweet!

I have never had a root canal, I don't even know what one entails, but I feel your pain. because I can not stand that drill. I had a few fillings replaced and that freaked me out. I hope you feel better soon!

Not sure what is up with Blogger. I had not un-followed you.. and it had happened to other Bloggers and on my own blogs.. but I lost some readers as well.
I had two root canals over the years, with all the shots there was no pain so it wasn't bad at all.
Besides the smell I just can't stand the noise of the drill - ewe. I bring the IPod now and just crank up the music.
OUCH, honey!!!! I don't ever want to find out what its like to have a root canal!
