What's In My Head

When Madison walks through the house, she turns on every light as she goes. She's afraid of the dark, and so am I. As I watched her do it on her way to the bathroom tonight I pondered: nature or nuture?

I am going to Pahrump tomorrow, again. I have to admit, three times in 24 days? Uh... yeah, I've had enough of that particular road trip for awhile.

I've been a Smith's grocery shopper for a really long time, but I may have to change that. The store near my house seems to be out of quite a few things I need, a lot. The produce has not been great, either, and we eat A LOT of produce. There's actually an Albertson's close by too, but their prices have been a bit higher. However, they actually have what I need in stock!

I've been avoiding carbohydrates for a long time (over a year and a half, it's been a lifestyle change), although I still cook all those wonderful, carbohydrate-filled goodies for the rest of the house. The guys at work wonder how I do this without falling off the wagon, LOL. Every once in awhile I cook something and look at it longingly... tonight it was the garlic bread I made. It smelled soooooooo good!

I need to finish "The Departed" - I have like another 20 minutes to watch... so I'm off! What's in your head, Internet?

In my head, the decline of local supermarkets. I hit a Vons near my house, it was built and opened since we moved here so it's fairly new. The selection has decreased tremendously, where there used to be three brands of a particular item there is now only the 'house' brand. Produce variety has shrunk, and I cannot find things that I buy regularly. The Sunshine Markets seem to have the best produce, but not anything else I like. I tried several other chains, but it looks like everyone is cutting back.

Nurture.

I have a problem with certain foods touching on a plate. I've noticed that Alex is starting to do the same thing. He totally learned that from me!

I don't know how you do it without any carbs!!

Anytime you mention your fear of the dark I always hear the Canadian jokes, can't help it. You're both Canadian! Here have a doonut. hahaha

"The Departed" has been stuck in my DVR for a couple months now. I just can't find the attention span to watch it. Is it any good?

I've been getting some pretty poor produce at the Smith's near my house lately as well. There's an Albertson's really near too, but I choose the Von's that is a little further away, they seem to have nice produce.
