Weekend Update

This weekend was seriously busy and two days moved in the blink of an eye. That seems to happen a lot anymore... I am not sure if it's because I'm really that busy or if I'm always with this little tornado that never stops, and I'm just trying to keep up.

Most of the weekend was pretty mundane with cleaning and errands. B-o-r-i-n-g.

However, Madison and I made it out to a birthday party for my niece Taya yesterday. Her birthday is actually Halloween, so she has costume parties every year! Here's a couple of pictures (as usual, there's more at Flickr).

Here's the birthday girl with a handsome young skeleton:

This is me and my sister Toni in our costumes:

I'm glad I wore the costume before Halloween because I have some serious heels going on that you can't see here, so I'm glad I got used to this pair of shoes before trick-or-treating in them.

Saturday night we watched 3:10 to Yuma. I love Westerns, I just love them. Maybe it's because I grew up mostly in the Southwest, I remember being exposed to it a lot growing up. This movie did not disappoint, and bonus Christian Bale stars in it, purrrrrrrr. I think I waited to watch this movie because of Russell Crowe, which is funny - he sort of turns me off when I see previews for a movie he's in, and then I watch the movie and I remember what a great actor he is. I dunno! The ending really blew me away and left me thinking... so if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.

Late this afternoon we took Madison to see Igor. It was just ok. It's at least entertaining and the message is pretty good. It felt good to get out of the house even though it was a kid's movie!

How was your weekend?

My weekend happened.. and no one told me. It was a blur, I had different days off from work.. and it made feel a little off center. Some weird thing happened and my clocks all changed, and somehow so did my wristwatch.. but i didn't do it.. It's like some alien 'missing time' incident.. happened to a couple of others I know - weird. Before I knew it , it was 4:05 am Monday morning. Where did Friday night go? You had more fun for sure.. with pictures to prove it ! :)

Movies and parties - a great way to spend the weekend! I worked on my project list around the house (bummer) and put in a few (OK, too many) on Spore.

Costume parties are good times. Even better that it's a birthday celebration too, though. Hope your niece enjoyed a great birthday. Looks like it was so much fun! At least you got to watch a few movies and have a bit of fun mixed in with your mundane and boring stuff.
