Weekend Update

Yesterday was a busy day... cleaned pretty much the whole house and ran some errands, and needed it done before 3pm, I had to get ready for a BBQ at my sister Toni's house. It was a double birthday party for herself and Laura Jean, another one of my three stepsisters. Got everything done and headed out for the party. Karl had already announced he would drive home, so while I was out, I bought a bottle of Jack Daniels to take - it'd been awhile since I saw my friend Jack!

Ok, ok... I was pretty drunk last night, LOL. The party was a total success, lots of kids so they played inside and outside and were totally entertained as there's so much to do at Toni's house. There had to be at least 50 people there, of which I only knew about half - there was a professional karaoke setup, a bonfire outside - lots of food, lots of good company and lots and lots of alcohol.

I made three monumental mistakes, so I'll just lay them out for you:

1. I didn't keep track of how much I was drinking. I started out with a Rockstar half gone when I got there, and just added Jack directly to it (it wasn't too bad). The rest of the night I just kept mixing Jack and Diet in that can, cause I was able to keep track of that can and it had a lid.

2. I didn't eat before I started drinking, and I didn't eat enough while drinking. Baaaaad move.

3. I mixed beer with Jack. Never, ever ever mix beer and Jack, unless you have the tolerance of an alcoholic.

Oh, and before I was even drunk (although I was on my way), I fell backwards down a set of stairs. You know this is highly possible when I'm sober, I don't even need alcohol to be clumsy. So I have some visible (and some invisible) bruises down my spine and left shoulder. Laugh, seriously... cause it's funny. I'm ok. I'll spare you the details, but know that I fell from a kneeling position, so it could have been worse...LOL!!

Needless to say, it's been a rough day. I accomplished only what I absolutely had to, and I'm nursing my dehydration and sour stomach. I didn't throw up, but hey I might feel better had I. I'm definitely feeling my late 30's... cause I can't party like I used to.

Oh and No, I did not Karaoke. I guess it's not possible to get me drunk enough to do it.

How was your weekend, Internet?

Randy - you're just happy Seattle finally won a football game. :P

Madison was sitting on my lap while I was kneeling, and she suddenly got up, causing me to lose my balance. It was pretty funny, slow motion and everything, LOL.

Oh man....I feel your hangover pain! I am glad you are okay after the fall cause it was a tiny bit funny to picture it happening. I'm glad you had fun.

There is no amount of alcohol in the world that could get me to do karokee!

I force myself to throw up when I have a hangover, it really does help! But after the last one I learned me lesson.

All I could do is laugh.

But truth be told, I think we all make that forgetting to eat first thing now and again - especially when we go for a while without drinking.

But that you fell down the stairs is a little off-putting.

Oh and, GO BILLS!

DOES THIS MEAN THAT I SHOULD NOT TALK TOO LOUDLY TODAY?? LMAO!

SEriously, while I was giggling at this, I cannot help but cringe at the thought of you, my dear, sweet-albeit stupid-at-times, with the bruises and such. I hope it feels better soon. But glad you had fun.
OK< THIS IS ME TELLING YOU TO FEEL BETTER SOON!!!!

I had a boring weekend. After reading about yours, though, I'm going to buy some Jack after work on Friday. Maybe I can make this weekend interesting.

Okay, I just made up my own video of your experience and it's too damn funny! I wish I could have seen the actual events though. I don't know if it helps, but I was quite fuzzy over the weekend too. It was one of those parties where the drunkeness creeps up and before ya know it, you're lit. Good times though.

Hope you're feeling better now though
