I'm home sick today! I've got some sinus/throat thing going on, not sure if it's allergies or something else, but I can tell you I'm miserable. I am a big believer in the idea that if you're sick, stay HOME. So, here I am, on the sofa - blanket on and Dallas snuggled up next to me.
In between napping - I watched two movies, "21" and "Bram Stoker's Dracula". The first was, ok. I'm not asking for my time back but it wasn't great at keeping my full attention. Kevin Spacey is really good at parts like this, and he kept the movie together, but the plot didn't get good until the last half an hour.
However, Dracula - WOW, I'd forgotten how awesome that movie was. I just love Gary Oldman - what an actor, he's so incredibly versatile. I had to laugh cause the guys at work always make so much fun of my affection for Keanu Reeves, and this time I have to agree - he was not the right person for the part of Jonathan Harker. One of the things I noticed was the lack of special effects - there was a lot of makeup and a lot of camera tricks, but they laid off the crazy effects, which didn't hurt the movie at.all. I hadn't seen the movie since it was released in the theatre, but picked it up in a $5 bin somewhere, and I'm so glad I did.
I also just caught the Ellen show. She's really fantastic at this talk show host job, she cracks me up. I never get to see daytime TV, so that was cool. Or it's just the Benadryl talking. :)

Oh and I'm with ya on the Ellen thing. I love her show. She's just one of those people that are hard to dislike, IMO.
