Drivetime Conversation

On my way home tonight, I got a chance to talk with Amy, and as we hung up, she said "Tell the little princess that Corndog and Grandma Dog say 'Hi'." (These are Madison's names for Amy and Ken's dogs, Thorndyke and Rosebud.) So Madison and I are in the car and it goes something like this:

"Maddy, I talked with Amy today and she wanted me to tell you Corndog and Grandma Dog said Hello."

"You talked to Amy? How did they say hi? Did they put up their paws like this?" (She raises her hand with her palm open.)

(Laughing) "Well yeah, I suppose that's how they did it."

"Or did they change? Can they talk now?"

"Well maybe they wrote it on paper." (I couldn't help it.)

"Really? Mommy, really? How does she know they said Hi?"

Sigh. Already, so logical. Santa Claus won't last much longer at this rate!
