Disneyland Day 3 (Last Day)

The very first thing we did this morning was ride the Matterhorn - and it broke down while we were on it. I told Madison it was because we rode it too much, LOL. We sat there for about 10 minutes before they came and escorted us down, and gave us a fastpass to any ride we wanted (except Nemo or the new Toy Story Mania ride). Here's a couple of pictures I took while sitting there in a bobsled:

Of course we went right over to Space Mountain and rode it again. We wouldn't have otherwise, it was a 40 minute wait! I realized today that I never want to come here on a weekend day unless I have to... things that had no more than a 20 minute wait Thursday or Friday had more than 40 minutes today. Thus, we didn't do much of the popular rides today, we sort of just took our time and moved at a much, much slower pace. Thankfully we had two full days of riding everything we really wanted to, and pretty much as many times as we wanted. I know lines are expected when you come to these places, but when you have a small child, 40 minutes is forever.

Lunch at the Blue Bayou was okay - they really messed up our order and Madison was wishing she was on the Pirates of the Carribbean instead of eating lunch. The atmosphere was really nice, so I'm still glad we had the experience.

I meant to mention that we got to ride the new Nemo ride this time - they'd taken the old submarine ride and revamped it completely to be all about Nemo. We rode it the morning we had the early-in pass, otherwise the wait was up to two hours. Honestly, I didn't get the hype. It was decent enough, sure... but even Madison kept noting that they ran through the story of Nemo out of order, and although the ride itself was long enough, it seemed they tried to cram too much in thus mucking it up a bit. The new ride Toy Story Mania, inside California Adventure, however, was really awesome. You ride through a series of carnival games and shoot this gun at different targets trying to reach a high score - it was sooooo fun and well worth the wait. Luckily we caught it Thursday and didn't have to wait more than five minutes.

We came back to the room a little earlier today than any of our days here... we're all pretty exhausted and ready to go home in the morning. I'd have to say my only complaint is the beds here at the hotel, I wake up more stiff than a gingerbread man every single day, these mattresses are like sleeping on the ground, and the pillows are non-pillows! All-in-all, however, this has been an incredible vacation, an amazing experience, and I can't wait to do it again next year. I'm still not ready to get back to reality...

In case you didn't know, I've put all our Disney pictures at my Flickr page, accessible through the link on the right of this page.

Hope you're having a great weekend, Internet!

I love Space Mountain. It's been a long time, though, because they have the Rock and Roller Coaster at Disney MGM. The girls like that one better.

I've only been to Disneyland once. We really loved Soarin'.

Glad you're having a great time!

It does sound like you had fun. The breakfast sounds great - eating with Goofy! (much better than a princess)
