The surprise birthday party today wasn't such a surprise, one of her teachers slipped up and let the secret of the cupcakes out... but no biggie, Maddy was happy to see me and I got all the kids nicely sugared up. As soon as the sugar kicked in, I passed out goodie bags and disappeared with the kid... muahahahahahaha! I forgot my camera because of a really, really bad work day (well at least I left early). That's a whole different show - but I didn't get any pictures.
Maddy and I came home, played a thousand games of Candyland, and watched Bambi. While I am starting dinner, she painted her nails with some clear glitter polish (read that as the whole top of her fingers are covered in glittery goo). She just came to show the finished product to me and I asked her to let them dry and to not get the polish on the furniture. Do you know what my 4-year-old just said to me? "Well Duhhhhhh!"
I swear, I have no idea where she gets it.

Out of the mouth of babes...
My kids never really liked Candyland. I have no idea why.
Nice picture of Madison on your previous post. Take lots of pictures...she'll be graduating before you know it.
Candyland!!!
Ugh, that's kind of a bummer that it wasn't a surprise. Ah well, at least you all had a good time and enjoyed the "party". Way to juice 'em up and bail, too. LOL And leaving work early on a crappy day is the coolest.
Ahhh, like mother like daughter, eh?
