Weekend Update

On Saturday, Madison and I spent some time at the Springs Preserve with Amy, Ken and two of their friends, along with their daughter. Of course she and Madison hit it off right away and we spent most of our time their chasing them around, but they enjoyed themselves and that's really all that mattered. Afterward we had some lunch and parted ways - Madison and I were to run errands at that point but she was so exhausted that we came home to chill out and watch Enchanted. Here's an example of my view of Madison pretty much the whole time we were there:

Today Madison and I spent some time at the park - the weather is so beautiful right now! She has this thing for climbing up this tall artificial cork/turf-type hill and sliding down on nothing but her shorts, and damn if I didn't have my camera with me. I feel road rash every single time she does it! Late this afternoon we all attended a baby shower for my stepsister Cassie and her husband Jose. It was different having a co-ed baby shower but I do believe the guys enjoyed themselves (or misery just loves company, not sure which applies...). Tomorrow should be an interesting day, as we had some major email system issues occur over the weekend, which should keep the whip cracking on me for all of tomorrow if not more of the week. Oh, not to mention our governor should be making some announcements concerning our State budget problems and the solutions. I've got my fingers and toes crossed that the solutions don't include layoffs!
