Politicians Are Telling Us How to Raise Our Kids... Again (No Surprise)

I came across an article Stephen King wrote about violence in video games and how our politicians are trying to run our lives wayyyy more than they should... I could rant and rave about this subject, but I really couldn't put it any better... So check out the article and tell me what your thoughts are!

There is no substitute for good, old-fashioned parenting. He is right on several accounts. First, parents need to be involved in their kids' lives. The next logical step is that they need to be the PARENT and not their best friend. No means no. Second, he's is totally spot on - it's easy to create a paper elephant to be torn down and whenever you attack basic First Amendment rights, you are bound to get some attention for the next election cycle. No need to worry about the fact that 47 MILLION Americans are without health care. Kids shouldn't play violent video games. Sheesh

Good on ya Stephen King and totally agree! He said it all, really. If only more people were like this.

I do have to say that it was pretty funny reading Stephen King talk about "Fiddy".
