Drivetime Conversation

A portion of our drive home conversation tonight:

"Hey... Mommy, I have an idea."

"What's that Maddy?"

"You could take me to school and then you can pick me up."

"Well okay, sure... but what day are we talking here, tomorrow?"

"No. Todayyyyy."

"I just picked you up Maddy? We can't go back to school tonight, we have to go home."

(Now visualize Madison saying this while giving me the hand) "I knowwwwww, Mommy, I know. Just calm dowwwwwn."

You can't write this stuff. But how funny would it be if I taught her how to say "Simmah down now."

Ha- that's too funny. She seems to have quite a unique personality. And because you said it, you have to teach her "Simmah down now". That would be hilarious to see, especially when she'd catch you off guard with it.

More kids should say 'dadgum'. All of them.
