Happy Easter

I am pretty exhausted after a full day of Easter activities... I am not sure if it's because I was so busy, or that my allergies are a little crazy or perhaps it's because I had some sugar (gasp! for shame!) today. I am pretty sure it's a combination of all of the above, but regardless, it was a good day. Of course due to the sugar incident I took an extra long walk (must be the old Catholic guilt on Easter). I'm kind of glad I did - if I walk past the horse ranches it gets rather dark because there aren't nearly as many street lights. It's amazing what a difference that makes when you're looking at the night sky. I remember when I used to live in a pretty central area of Las Vegas, you could hardly see the stars in the night sky. Of course, the further you move out from those city lights, the more of the night sky you get to enjoy. Having said that, I am still very much a city girl...

Here's a couple of pictures from today (sorry but since I'm always behind the camera, there are none of me!)...

The Easter dress is still on here, but I was having a helluva time getting her to let me take a picture in it:

Once the dress came off, she was all tomboy. By the time we left my Dad's house, she was trailing a dust cloud, just like Pigpen:

Check out more at my Flickr page. Now I'm off to dreamland, my sugar buzz is apparently crashing! How was your Easter?

Happy Easter Lora! What a cute dress. I remember when I was little that shopping for an Easter dress was one of the highlights of my year.

By the way, you (and everyone) misunderstood my Easter post. I wasn't working. I was trying to make a joke that didn't quite work. I guess that's what I get for making fun of the Easter bunny.

What went first, the ears or the tail?

I so totally wish they made grown up dresses as fabulous as the ones for the younger versions of ourselves. That dress is wonderful -- Dare I say I would wear it! LOL...

Glad you had a good Easter and good for you for taking the walk. You amaze me!

that is a gorgeous Easter dress! She is so cute. :) We had a potluck at our house, with a ton of people that Tony works with, an Easter egg hunt, and some crafts. I was exhausted by the time I crawled into bed, and felt it this morning too. My back was still killing me! lol But it was worth it. :) Glad you guys had fun too!

That's a great contrast, seeing her in both states. It makes me wonder if your parents have similar photos of you. ("Oh, look, she's taken a stereo apart.")

Well, I'm way late on this, but I hope you and yours had a wonderful Easter.
I can't say I blame Maddy for bailing out of her dress. I hated having to wear Easter dresses
