What's On My iPod

I'm trying something a little different by just embedding the videos here this week.

Sprung Monkey - Get 'Em Outta Here. Not sure why I never hear anything new from this band on the radio, they have a great sound. Love the video, this is the first time I've seen it!

Beastie Boys - No Sleep 'Til Brooklyn - Of course Universal Music Group threw a monkey wrench in my plan by disabling embedding of this video... whatevah! So click here to check it out. I love the spoof on hair bands and their videos!

The Cure - A Letter to Elise - This song takes me right back to French class in high school, I've anchored it for some reason.

Edwyn Collins - A Girl Like You - I have this song because I'd heard it in a movie, and I can't think of which one? I want to say "Pulp Fiction" but I'm confusing it with Urge Overkill's Girl You'll Be a Woman Soon. Anyone know what movie I got it from? (Save me from a Google search - heh!)

Evanescence - My Immortal - This song is hauntingly beautiful, and the reason I purchased their first album. It struck a very personal chord at one point.

Sonia and I saw Sprung Monkey live at some little dive bar on Boulder (I think) when they first came out - this had been their first album and we got in to see the show (which ROCKED) for like $@) each, of course drinks were a whole other thing, but we had fun and were front and center getting pushed and pushing back!

I love My Immortal. It is my favorite Evanescence song. And your description of hauntingly beautiful is right on target.
