Sunday at the Park

Today Maddy and I met the family at Floyd Lamb Park for a picnic... it was a perfect day in Las Vegas and we ended up staying there for about 4.5 hours. The girls rode their bikes all over most of the day, but there was a little fishing and a game or two of tag in there as well. :) There was this really nice guy exercising his horse at one end of the park, and he let the girls ride him (Silky Sullivan, Sully for short) for a few minutes. This was Maddy's first time on a horse, and he was one BIG horse:
There's horse boarding near the park so you see a lot of horses, but today I found out there's actually horseback riding anyone can do. I added that to my to-do list!

It was a pretty eventful day, so now we're kicking back and watching "Pete's Dragon". I don't think we're going to have any problems sleeping tonight. There are more pictures from our day at the Flickr link.

Hope you had a great weekend!!

Horseback Riding and Pete's Dragon? What a perfect day! When you decide to go riding yourself let me know, I would love to join you. I miss riding.

Sheesh. In California, they'd have to have signed a contract promising not to sue the horse owner for libility.

Sometimes I dislike California! Glad you had a good time though! :)
