Little Bribes

We got the pictures done relatively unscathed, although it was some serious work. We had four kids today for pictures (Madison and 3 of her cousins). The oldest, who is 9, asked me for a stick of gum. Madison had refused to sit in front of the camera at this point, but she saw me giving out gum and of course wanted some too. With the promise of my sugar free mint gum, she sat and let them take about 6 shots of her, and continued to cooperate as we tried to round up the others for a group shot. Had I known that's all it was going to take... LOL

This morning on the way to the mall, we were listening to the radio and heard "Pictures of You" by The Last Goodnight. Madison started singing to it, making up her own words - Something like "Pictures of you, pictures of me, my pink dress is so prettyyyyyy". She kept it up for half the song - you gotta love the imagination of little kids.

Flu shot clinics are a beautiful thing, but her pediatrician's office was highly unorganized and we were there for quite some time (Amy, I think everything fell apart when you left the organization!).

Eee-ghad! No flu shots! Everytime I get a flu shot... I get the flu!

Group shots of kids are such a pain. I'm glad the gum thing worked out for you though.

One of my favorite things to do is listen to wee ones sing songs. I like hearing what they think the lyrics to the songs are. It's even better when they just go off with their own lyrics though. Too cute.

Hopefully everything went well with the shot and Madison's doing alright with it.
