What's On My iPod

Pete Townshend - "Let My Love Open the Door" - I didn't appreciate Pete Townshend or The Who until I got to my late 20's...

Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Higher Ground" - Seriously good workout song.

Mariah Carey - "It's Like That" - Yeah, I know. Mariah's a little loopy in the media. But she can definitely sing.

Herbie Hancock - "Rockit" - I remember seeing this video a lot on Mtv way back when. At that age I just didn't get it? Thankfully I do now...Also a great workout song. Even better driving song. :)

Lucscious Jackson - "Naked Eye" - Definitely one of my all-time favorite songs. I must say I'd probably do a pretty damn good karaoke of this song (given enough alcohol, heh). I dig the whole spy theme to the video.

Enjoy!

On my Ipod:
1. Bill Dumpling and the Kickshickers
2. Stumpus Dogg and the Good Ol' Boys, Live on Ma Beaver's Front Porch
3. We Are The World (the Milli Vanilli remake... it just makes me cry)

There's a great, alternate version of "Let My Love Open The Door" floating around out there that is almost better than the original.

And yes, "Higher Ground" is phenomenal; for one main reason: FLEA'S BASSLINE!

It's tough to remake a Stevie Wonder song and make it your own, because I LOVE Stevie Wonder!

Not big on Mariah but I agree with all your other inclusions. "Naked Eye" is one of those songs that gets no respect. Good stuff.

Oh, and Townsend's LMLOTD always seems like a fusion of the Kinks and the Who. Personally, I love the song and hearing that version reminded me of the cleanliness of sound separation.
