I'm Leaving, On A Jetplane

So I'm all packed and ready for my trip to Minneapolis tomorrow. I am not prepared at all for this mentally; see, I don't do funerals. Who likes funerals anyway, right? I have some strange anxiety with the whole experience, and I'm not sure why. I've been extremely fortunate in that I've not actually had many funerals to attend - but I've never actually stayed through a whole funeral, because I freak out at some point and escape. I was told a few days ago that this will be a growth experience and a chance to face my fears. Since I have no choice but to see this whole thing through, and it's important that I be there for my Dad, I'm going to focus on the growth part over the next few days.

I'm taking technology with me (duh, right?)... so I might just be posting from MN. Hope the start of your week is fabulous!!

I dislike funerals too. I'd go into my reasons why except it feels not quite right to do so at the moment.

I'm not a huge fan of funerals either. I don't really get closure out of them - especially when it was someone I was close to. Wakes are harder for me. Mostly because the majority of wakes I've been to were for family members that I had to stay for the whole thing, but it was a good bonding experience with cousins.

Safe travels.

Yikes, I hate funerals. I agree with Ken...I don't see how that whole process gives anyone closure. I want to remember people as they were when they were alive.

Anyway, don't forget to purify yourself in Lake Minnetonka. :)

Be strong, hon. B) You are going to do great and it also helps to think that you are there more to support someone else.

Last time I was in that state I caught a few fish. Here's hoping mosquito season is over.
