Sidetracks

As I sit here eating my lo-carb yogurt with cashews, I'm wondering... why aren't I asleep? I was so tired and in a complete funk all day today (I was told I was definitely not my usual chipper self). I need to get rest - I'm taking a trip to Pahrump tomorrow - and although it's work, I'm looking forward getting out of the office and taking the scenic route, stopping to smell the roses. It's always a good thing to break up the monotony... But, as usual I got to doing something tonight that totally sidetracked me.

I found old Zip disks buried in my closet a couple of weeks ago, so I found an incredibly cheap zip drive on E-bay to find what's on them and keep anything I deemed save-worthy. I took a little trip down memory lane tonight, as most of the information on them is about 10-12 years old. I found a lot of old emails, photos, college homework, even a tripeaks game (man was I addicted to that at one point). Why do some of us keep this stuff? Especially a minimilast such as myself? None of it is relevant to my present, absolutely none of it. However, like before when I found my old journals, it was not such a bad thing to see how far I've come.

Suddenly I realize my brain is pretty much sludge... must.get.sleep.

I love going through old things like that. Walks down memory lane are fun but sometimes I get in a throw away mode and end up tossing everything. Then I'll wish I have not thrown the stuff out.

I felt tired today too. I blame it on the weather. I can blame everything on the weather.

I second the must get sleep. I think this is a common theme with a lot of people this week for some odd reason. I know it's only Tuesday, but I have yet to come across anyone who isn't saying, "Man, I'm so tired".

Those trips down memory lane can be so fun. What's tripeaks? I've never heard of it.
