Training - Day 1

So have you ever been to a class where as soon as the professor walks in, you groan inward and start watching the clock, almost immediately? Yeah. That was my experience this a.m. He's one of those stereotypical nerds right out of a movie (I'm not even exaggerating): pants pulled way up the rib cage, disheveled, poor business attire, zero grooming. He really knows his stuff - don't get me wrong - but there's really nothing engaging about him and it's boring the crap out of me. Besides, he gave us exactly one hour for lunch. I'm in training, helloooooo?! I'm there to learn AND loaf. Well, I'm a rebel, so I was late coming back - and he gave me stinkeye. LOL I will give him this - he is a task master, and doesn't talk too much, so we'll probably get out somewhat early on the third (and last) day.

The material for all of today was all stuff I already know, so I was fidgety and thinking about someplace else I'd rather be. Hopefully tomorrow will be better! Thankfully this class is only three days - maybe two and a half if all goes well.

I don't think that I could handle a class like that. I have been contemplating taking some computer classes at work. Why not? They are free. I'm just going to test out of most of it. I just don't want to have to learn Outlook as I really dislike it.

Ugh, I have been in training for about three weeks now so I feel your pain. I feel like I am in school again and I don't like it. I say tomorrow you eat in class and see what he says. When he asks just say an hour is not enough for a break! :)

I feel your pain. For me once the speaker/trainer opens his mouth and every word ends in a period. Because. They. Talk. So. Slowly. I can't help but clock watch.

The icing on the cake is if there no inflection in their voice, it may as well be white noise because it's lulling me to sleep.

I have been there so many times, I feel your pain. Why is that the worst classes have the teachers that live by the book?
