Studio 60 is now officially on hiatus. That's network-speak for cancelled, I'm sure. Why is it that good, intelligent TV gets cancelled so often? The only ones left are either hospital related or crime/law enforcement related... and there are so many of them, they're all blending together. This show works - the writing is excellent, the cast is superb and it's entertaining. There's a petition online to save it... I don't think I've ever seen one of these work, but I signed it anyway. You can sign it yourself here.
I am home today with a horrible head cold. Karl is just back to 100% after a stomach bug last week that really knocked him out. At least this winter has been nothing like last year, where someone here was sick the whole damn season. I'm a cotton-head right now, so I'm signing off... I hope you have a fabulous day!

Yes, I would tend to agree that Studio 60 is gone. When I watched the show, I really enjoyed it but almost always was left wanting more. Personally, I think that Aaron Sorkin's head got too big and he wasn't willing to make a couple of small changes that would have improved the show. Also, pairing it up with Heroes wasn't a good idea - completely different audiences. The West Wing was a great 9 p.m. show. Perhaps pairing it on Wednesday with a Law and Order show would have been better
By the way - did you catch the follow up on the "Slap Bet" on HIMYM?
Hope you get better before you get worse! I am fighting one and just refuse to let it win!!!
Hope you're feeling better Lora!
I never watched Studio 60, so I have nothing to say either way. I do agree with ya on the same types of show being crammed down our throats. I'm still upset about the King of Queens. That's one of my favorite shows and I have yet to find out what's going on with it. It's either reality, crime, or doctors now. Very few other types of shows have made it. There aren't too many comedies anymore. I don't get it.
Ken - No, I didn't catch the follow up on HIMYM? I missed something.
Barbara: Thanks. I'm still feeling yucky, but I think I'm at the peak.
Nik: Thanks...and I did forget to mention reality. I'm pretty done with reality tv. Okay, except American Idol. LOL
Lora, check out HIMYM on InnerTube. It was the scene embedded with the closing credits. CLASSIC!
Sorry to hear that you aren't feeling good, hon. B( As for Studio 60, I loved the first 4 episodes but stopped watching it as I had heard it was going to get canceled. Sure, it lasted longer but I think my stepping away early helped me numb myself. Just another great series that the networks didn't keep faith in. I'm with Ken about the pairing it with Heroes... big mistake.
Ken: I'll check that out!
Martin: I'm going to work today, can't take sitting here anymore. I actually feel a lot better today. I should have known to stop watching Studio 60 - as I'm now left with unanswered questions...
Hope your head cold is clearing up, and you are feeling better.
Have a great weekend.
Take care, Meow
I think that Studio 60 may have gone the wayside. Too bad, I liked it. Although this new show looks good too, The Black Donnelly's. Have to check it out.
I hope you feel better soon!
I don't watch TV all that much, but I was a fan of this show. I think you're right. It's history.
