I'm Tired But Chatty, Apparently...

I'm just a posting fool these days... lack of sleep. Yeah yeah, that's it.

I have a secret confession. You know all those oodles of catalogs you get in the mail? The five billion dead trees that end up in your mailbox, especially at this time of year? I love looking through them. I just love it. I have no real intention of buying anything from them (although sometimes, I do). But I love spending time looking through each and every one of them. The irony? I am not much of a shopper. I go in, buy it, and get out. Karl says my favorite three words are these: "Wrap it up." I don't go looking through 5 stores to find the right deal, or spend a lot of time making a purchasing decision. I want it, I find it quickly, and I buy it.

I got a comment on my last post that I was added to Vegas215.com, a website with a list of other Vegas blogs. I found Vegas Princess and Martin there, too. Don't know how I got to be on this list, but I see I'm in good company.

I had so many good intentions for this week at work, but it is not meant to be. I'm hoping to do a little catch-up tomorrow before the long weekend. Thanksgiving is going to be a quiet day, and I cheated this year - I'm not cooking. I ordered one of those ready-made meals from Smith's, it comes with a spiral ham and all the trimmings. All I need to do is heat it all up. I'm looking forward to watching the Cowboys game for a change!

What are you doing for the Thanksgiving holiday?

I have to work! :(

Welcome to the elite Vegas215 club! I don't know what it means either but I am honored to share company with you!

I love catelogues. I save them up all week and look through them every Sunday with the newspaper ads. It is my secret addiction too. Sometimes it pays off and I find something cool or a good sale, but I very rarely buy anything. I just like to see the kind of things I COULD buy.

I actually looking into that "Las Vegas Information Center" (aka Vegas215) and yes it looks like something the RJ would create. Interesting idea to collect links to local bloggers as I might be interested in seeing who else is out there.

Well, my plans are to meet up with the family for a 2pm-ish dinner, get photos of the kids and head to work full of pumpkin pie. B)

I plan on going over my mom's this Thanksgiving where we will eat drink and retell the same embarrassing stories we do almost every holiday.

I not much of a shopper either I do the same thing, go in get what I need and get out. I would rather do my shopping on-line if feasible, well except for clothes shopping. I hate the mall (no I wasn't a Canadian pop star)this time of year I will only step into one if I really have to.

Catalog shopping rules! I am a huge fan of the L.L. Bean catalog myself. Good stuff.

Amy and I are looking forward to our first Thanksgiving in the new house and as a married couple. My folks and some friends will be coming over.

Perhaps it's cheesy of me to post a link to my own blog but I don't know if you and I had found each other yet when I wrote this post: http://thepopeye.blogspot.com/2005/07/wishlist.html

It's kind of a fun, sarcastic romp through the Harriet Carter catalog. Thought you might enjoy it. :)

You and I could be twin sisters when it comes to shopping! I do most of mine online. AND I love those catalogs too! Rarely buy from them but love to look. I think it relaxes me or something....?.

Have a great thanksgiving with Karl and Madison!

To answer your question on my blog, I went to the Nevada Cancer Institute off Town Center and I think Twain in Summerlin (it is right off the Town Center exit on the 215). That is so great of you to do that too!!

Here's a link: http://www.nevadacancerinstitute.org/
