Supernova Becoming a Black Hole?

I don't know what the hell was going on with the Rockstar: Supernova elimination tonight - but another bottom three like that and I might have to stop watching. Zayra and Lukas weren't in the bottom three? Who's smoking a blunt and voting for them in a fit of laughter? Argh. This is what happens when you use a reality show to find your new lead singer for a new album and a world tour. Zayra had everyone laughing - no one is taking her seriously, and she's seriously hard to watch. She should have been gone three weeks ago. Martin, I see your Bjork reference completely - perhaps she would have some success following her career path, but not as the lead singer for Supernova.

Damn, I'm trying to post pictures and blogger is still being uncooperative. I added more pictures, some great ones from Madison's first birthday (I have a great photographer friend who came over and took a load of pictures) and some of Dallas. I have new sets when you click on the flickr link on the right of my page - check out Madison's 1st Birthday and Dallas Kitty sets for the new ones. Dallas' tumor was just that - a tumor, but benign and they got it all. His stitches came out yesterday and he looks good as new.

I've said it before and I'll say it again-- Madison would be a perfect baby/toddler model, she's so adorable. I just love looking at all of your pictures, too cute.

Also, great to hear that your kitty will be fine and that there's nothing to worry about. Good news! Sorry about your tv show though. Is that the one with Tommy Lee's new band? Kinda makes me glad that I don't get into these kinda shows, cuz there are so many people who get upset by decisions that get made. I'm sure things will work out in the end though and hope whoever you're voting for wins.

Zayra makes my brain hurt.

Glad your Dallas Kitty is recovering well. :)

I hate Blogger's lack of capability to upload pics. I usually have to enter in the HTML myself. Jerks.

Great pictures. Madison is precious. Too bad they have to grow up so quick.

Dallas is sure a good looking kitty. I'm glad it worked out just fine.

Nik: Thank you! I am so glad someone is enjoying the gazillion pictures I have posted. :) About the TV show - yes, it is the one with Tommy Lee's new band. I just hope they make the right decision for their new lead singer in this type of crazy form.

Ethel: Zayra does make brains hurt, I couldn't agree more.

Jas! Blogger sucks lately!

Fred: Yeah I was looking at those 1st birthday pictures wondering where the heck the whole second year went!

My wife & I haven't gotten into RockStar:Supernove, but we did watch RockStar: INXS religiously when that was on. I was pulling for Marty, my wife wanted JD to win. In the end I was happy with the results though as Marty got his band, The Lovehammers, some mad crazy exposure and got to continue doing music HIS way. I don't know that he'd have had that opportunity had he ended up in INXS.

That being said, I have to give Marty mad crazy props for performing Britney Spears, Baby, One More Time in a way that was actually quite enjoyable and far surpassed her original version.

I liked Zayra's take on 867-5309. **ducks** I can't stand that song and she made it interesting. Mind you I did not vote for her, or anyone for that matter.

I had two schools of thought when Zayra finished her song and the band needed time to compose themselves. I couldn't decide if they were stunned or aroused. Actually I'm still not sure. ;)

Jill should have went home this week, not that Dana was ever going to win but at least she was growing.

perplexio: Thanks for stopping by! We watched Rockstar: INXS as well, and Marty was also my favorite.

Lily: I agree it should have been Jill and not Dana this week... Jill spent more time screaming than singing to try to hide her shortcomings. I think stunned AND aroused are the reasons people are voting for Zayra. I mean, the outfits alone have half the male vote!

Okay, I expected Zayra to go a lot sooner than this, thought Dana had a lot more room to grow and was impressed with Jill's "Alone" even though she murdered "(Don't You) Forget About Me." I have to say that I liked her version of "867-5309 (Jenny)" for the change in tempo, use of heavier guitars and lispy vocals. If anything, I think the band members had to think hard about that one because she might attract more females to come backstage with that performance than they would. In the end, what I think works for this series is that it all comes down to the final 3 or 4 that you know can perform well and bring something distinctive each time they are up there. Until then, it's just like watching a Final Destination movie and knowing that most of them are going to bite it but just not in what order.

Martin: I like the analogy to a Final Destination movie... very fitting!
