Weekend Update

It was a most uneventful weekend. I had serious insomnia last night, I remember looking at the clock last to see it past 2 a.m. I do wish I understood that phenomena where your brain just.doesn't.shut.down. There were a lot of weird things traveling through my head last night, and there was no power switch in sight. We took Madison to the park this morning but didn't stay long, she started to lose her voice and I'm listening to her cough and try to sleep very restlessly right now. It's so sad, I really thought we were going to make it to Spring without another cold. I'm fearful my little princess has yet another ear infection, the doctor wasn't sure she fully got rid of the last one she had 3 or so weeks ago. We were playing a waiting game because she wasn't really showing symptoms but her eardrums were still "pink". I'm preparing for the worst and hope for the best. We had family in and out today as we relaxed at home, and that's about the most of it! Bet you're all releasing big sweat beads about all that excitement.

Oh! Last week I mentioned I ran into an old coworker from many years ago. I saw him again on Friday and we were able to catch up a little. It was really cool to share "what ever happened to" stories about the old crew. Our kids have been in daycare together since August, and it's strange it took us this long to cross paths.

You now how I like happy endings. Here's a picture taken of Madison today... those of you who know me well are going to laugh, because she's cleaning her whiteboard. Either kids pay attention way more than I considered, or it's in the genes.

Aaawww, hope the ear infection doesn't get too bad. Chicky and I both get them, and they are not nice.
Have a great week, take care, Meow

Insomnia sucks! I had a case of it last night -- again. If you are able to find the off switch, please let me know. Until then I can say I have made some great lists of ideas for wedding favors, bridesmaid gifts, moving plans, which stuff goes in which cabinet in the new house... you name it!

I am sorry Princess Madison is sick again. Give her an extra squeeze; and I believe it is in the watching -- nurture vs nature, ya know.

Like mommy like daughter!

You know...I woke up at 3 last night and didn't get back to sleep. Can we blame it on the dang time change gig? I HATE adjusting to it!

I hope Madison is NOT coming down with another ear infection!!! She's way too cute and sweet, I love it when you post photos of her.

Awww! Madison is so cute cleaning her white board! I'm sorry she's sick again, but hopefully she'll fight it off.

Nope, it's in the genes. My li'l smooth operator sometimes cleans without us even asking her to. Instead of playing with dolls, she'll sometimes hum and pick up things and sweep the floor!

But if we ask her to, she throws a fit. Too funny!

Meow: She did end up with an ear infection, but she's not doing so bad, considering. Hope you have a great week too!

Amy: Yes, insomnia does suck. I'm glad you got some great wedding tasks done in spite of it.

Barbara: Let's do blame it all on the time change thing. Nothing like blaming something that can't argue about it. :) Thank you for liking when I post photos. I love bragging about her!

Ken: Thank you for the well-wishes. :)

Jas: Too funny, she doesn't like to cooperate when you ask her too either.

JJ and Matt: Thank you!!

Awww she's definitely picking up good habits from Mom. Having the brain in hyperdrive sucks. It is an easy gear to get into but hard to get out of. The only way that I force myself to break a chain of thought is yes, music. Sorry to hear about the ear infection. It's amazing how common those are during a child's early years and how scary it is for a parent. Be strong hon.

I know exactly what you're saying with the brain not shutting down. It's lead to spme pretty entertaining afternoons for me. lol

It's good to see you've got Madison well trained. hehehe That really is a cute picture and I swear she gets cuter with every pic you post of her. *crossing fingers hoping she's not sick again*
