Spring Is Finally Here!

It's here! It's an absolutely beautiful 75 degrees outside, and it should get to 80 degrees today. I'm sooo, sooo happy Spring is finally here! It's a slow day at work, and I'm feeling a little chatty.

When I get home today, my lawn (front and back) will finally be beautiful, all at the same time. I meant to take 'before' pictures but spaced it. I'll try to take some 'after' pics anyway and post them. This is just in time for the Easter BBQ this weekend. I found out I have an aunt and uncle here Sunday from Minneapolis, they'll be joining us for the festivities. I do believe Karl conned his brother into coming over and running the grill (he is THE master of BBQ). I'm going to have a very full house. I can't wait for the Easter Egg hunt!

It's definitely Ace's time to go home tonight on American Idol. His looks are only going to get him so far. Oh! Did you notice how he seemed to irritate the bandmembers of Queen? Then pulling the blonde move with Ryan Seacrest, who asked him about some awkward moments with the band - answering a totally different question? I do believe that sealed his fate.

I've got some various tracks on my IPod from the band Our Lady Peace, and today I found a few of their videos on Veoh.com and uhhh, I never knew the lead singer (Raine Maida) was that hot. They're a band that's been around a long time (1992), how did I not know this?

Has anyone seen the preview for the movie Silent Hill? (Click to see trailer) I played the first two installments of this game on Playstation. Two of only a very few games I actually finished. One of the creepiest things about this game is that radio noise you hear when a monster is near.... that garbled "between stations" noise. It really anchored in my head, because whenever I hear it I think back to the game. That game actually made me jump or squeal with fear, I kid you not! So, when I heard the same noise in the movie trailer, I got goose bumps. I don't watch many horror movies anymore, but I may have to make an exception here.

It's already Wednesday! Have a fabulous day.

Silent Hill was one freaky game. I'm not sure how the movie will turn out, but it's worth a shot.

I had read online that Kellie Pickler was going to sing Bohemian Rhapsody and I knew I had to see that.

As Simon predicted I found it hideous. Her stage performance reminded me of something I would have done when I was 15 and singing into a hairbrush in my bedroom. Oh and Lita Ford called, she wants her look back. :)

I don't watch Idol, but I had to comment, being the huge Queen fan that I am. Brian May was talking on his blog about this Ace guy and that whole situation. Brian's a bit pissed because he said they basically edited the hell out of his comments to make them seem more rude than what he really said.

As far as OLP goes, my fave song by them is Somewhere Out There. I was surprised too when I found out they've been around for that long.

Glad your lawn's turning out alright for the big Easter bbq. Best of luck with the family and hope the kiddies have a blast w/ the easter egg hunt.

I would like to see the weather stay in the 70's rather than escalate to the 80's, but who am I kidding? We are in Vegas.

Ace definitely needs to go, so I was actually sad when it was Bucky. I think he was starting to grow on me! Paris should be going soon too, I hope.

Have a blast at the BBQ's -- glad the lawns are looking so splendid.

Matt: It was one freaky game! I like how the movie set looks much like the rooms you ventured through in the game. I'm kinda jazzed to see the movie.

Lily: I totally thought Kellie looked just like Lita Ford too. She doesn't really bother me, but I don't think she's good enough to make it all the way.

Nik: See I keep forgetting about television editing, and should have considered that. They really, made his interaction with them look bad. He did not do a good job on their song.

Amy: I was kinda sad to see Bucky go too, he was growing on me as well. He's just a really nice guy that doesn't have the looks that Ace does - I hope he gets a record deal somehow anyway.
