What's on My Mind Today

It was Lisa Tucker's time to go last night on AI, and I'm so happy I won't have to watch her one more week. I am absolutely shocked that Katharine McPhee ended up in the bottom three. Nobody but Elliot really did a "Wow" job on Tuesday night, but there was worse than Katharine. I haven't started voting yet - yes I'm a bad, bad fan. It's time I get into the game. I'm glad they cleared up the whole controversy with Chris' rendition of "I Walk the Line". For those of you under a rock, he was accused of not giving the band Live credit for the arrangement he apparently used for this song. I must say I got caught up in the hype of it and felt disappointed, forgetting how the media can take hold of something like this and run with it, as well as forgetting about how TV edits can change the audience's perception. He may have given credit and it was left out after edits. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt, because I do think he's above that.

Yesterday I had to drop Madison off at daycare. I ran into this guy I worked with about 16 years ago; his son is in the same room with Madison there. That was kind of weird in a city of a million and a half people. We were both kinda floored. Unfortunately I didn't have much time to talk; he was wondering what happened to some of our old crew, and I happen to know a lot about that, because I'm still in touch with some of them.

I'm planning an Easter bbq for my side of the family - I'm planning an Easter egg hunt for little ones and I'm so excited! I'm feeling a little weird because we're not including my in-laws. Our families are not hostile to each other, but there's no warm-fuzzies going on there either. I have to plan everything separate. The in-laws also don't plan anything, or ask us to do anything, etc. etc. For some reason it's up to Karl and I to plan and invite them. My first reaction is to rebel and just conveniently forget about them, but that only hurts Madison. So I want to plan something for them without having two gatherings. Not sure how that's going to play out yet.

Work is very slow this week, so I'm thinking about all the other things I'd rather be doing today. I'm looking for a toddler gymnastics class, and I have a couple of places I need to find time to visit. I have house cleaning to do. I could use a nap. I need to do some clothes shopping. I could really use a nap. It's a beautiful day to be at the park. Damn, I would love to take a nap!

Have a wonderful day!

Don't you hate it when work is slow and you have a million things you could be doing at home???

Sounds like your Easter BBQ will be fun. Don't forget to take pics. When the heck is Easter? It's late this year!!!

Yeah, I didn't get Lisa's appeal. She was not good. She had one good performance and that was it.

As far as Katherine being in the bottom 3...I'm convinced that the producers give everyone a turn in the bottom 3, especially when someone is doing really well. It stirs up controversy and gets everyone talking and VOTING more often. It's a big scam, I tells ya! It only matters who got the LOWEST number of votes. They don't have to be honest about the other 2. They just like to try to create drama and drag the show out for more advertising bucks. Do you watch Nashville Star? It's so much more efficient.

Trust me I know all about keeping the families seperate, Teri and my families are like oil and water, we just don't mix them...

I don't think she'll be in the bottom next week. The audience also seemed shocked that she was in the bottom 3.

(sigh)
Katharine McPhee is soooooo....
(sigh again)

That's so cool about your friend. Are you guys staying in touch? I love it when I get a hold of someone I haven't seen in so long, then suddenly I find out that they have numbers or emails of the old groups I know so long ago. It's so fun to catch up with them.

It's slow here too, I think it is all over the place because Mercury is not in Retrograde any longer (messes up communications and throws everybody's schedules off kilter for about two weeks at a time). Fortunately, the next retrograde won't be until the second half of July, so we have until then to get our stuff in order!

Go take a nap! Cheers!

I was kinda sad to see Lisa go. I really think Bucky and Kelly need to leave. She was horrific last week and this week, just plain old boring. Bucky seems like a nice guy, but he just creeps me out.

Good luck on the Easter BBQ as Lloyd said, we have had a ton of fun trying to do things with both families.

Good luck with the Easter bbq Lora, sounds like it could be interesting to say the least. Maybe everybody can put aside whatever and enjoy the day.

Tivo has a neat little contest where you can win something and be entered into a drawing for a Tivo Series 3 DVR by picking who is going next. I voted for Buckey (can't remember the spelling) last week and will do it again this week. I don't watch it often at all but I keep hearing it's a good pick from people that watch.
