What's On My iPod

Pablo Cruise - "Love Will Find A Way" - Do you remember this song? I saw a bit of "Stepbrothers" yesterday and Will Farrell's character wears the Pablo Cruise shirt. OMG, I totally forgot about this band...I had to hit Amazon and take a trip down memory lane, then promptly buy a few songs. This is definitely my favorite song by them.

Common ft. Pharrell - "Universal Mind Control" - If you dig an awesome dance rap with an amazing beat, go watch this video. You're welcome. :)

Jason Wade - "You Belong to Me" - I heard this song Monday and went looking on Amazon for it, turns out I already had it on the Shrek soundtrack. It's a very sweet song. Oh, and this is the lead singer for Lifehouse, if you didn't already know.

Adele - "Chasing Pavements" - If you've not heard this girl sing, check this song out. I purchased her debut album, 19, and she's got a bit of an Amy Winehouse feel to her, very bluesy.

John Legend - "Green Light" - This is a funky little danceable groove, this guy has a great voice!

One of the best things about blogging is that I often get turned on to songs I've never heard. Although I enjoyed all of your selections, I esp. liked "Universal Mind Control" and "Chasing Pavements". I'm really looking forward to the Grammys now because Adele is nominated for Best New Artist. Hopefully, she will perform "Chasing Pavements".

For the longest time, I've been intending to play Pablo Cruise on my weekly radio show. I'm going to next week. Two of my other favorite songs by them are "Whatcha Gonna Do?" and "I Go To Rio".

By the way, I found your blog via Barbara (aka Layla) at Writing From the Inside Out.

Holy shit, I remember hearing about Pablo Cruise, but the only "Love Will Find a Way" that popped into my head was the Yes song. But, as soon as I clicked on the link, I remembered the song and most of the words! Great find! I may have to use that as a forgotten classic one of these days.
