Sore and Old

We took Madison to see "The Tale of Despereaux" yesterday, what an awesome movie! It was a really great story, the animation was well done, and it moved along very well (Madison didn't fidget at all, the true test for any movie). We'll definitely be picking it up when it arrives on video.

From the movie, we headed over to Best Buy and picked up a Wii Fit. I'd been thinking about it for awhile and as we were contemplating it in the store, another customer stopped and talked a bit about it with us, and we were sold. I opted to do the Wii Fit exercises last night vs. the treadmill, and I tell you what, I was sweating (and sore) after my 45 minute workout! I am definitely feeling it this morning, as well. My favorite aerobic exercise is the Super Hula Hoop - I am one hell of a hula hoop master, heh! I also got a little reality check when I set up my profile and got my BMI. Uh yeah, I need to be a little more diligent about the diet and exercise. I have gotten lazy since I lost the 80 pounds I'd gained with pregnancy. Yup, I said 80! I still have about 25 to lose, and I've just been doing enough to maintain my current weight.

The best part of the day was Madison playing with the Wii fit tonight - we'd rented the game Rayman Raving Rabbids and they have a little dance competition game that she loves. In fact, I've got video! The audio is a little low (I took it with my camera), but if you turn it up you can hear that she's dancing to The Jackson 5's "ABC". Enjoy! (Note: I tried to upload it here at Blogger last night but it never would upload, probably too big. So I'm late with the post, but Flickr thankfully does video and saves the day.)

I love Wii Fit and Rayman! The dance parts are my favorite too. I just got hubby the Rayman TV Party for Christmas, and you use the Wii Fit balance board for that game.

P.S. Couldn't get video to play but I bet she looked cute!

Amy: I think you'd LOVE the Wii Fit.

Fred: LOL It is a lot of work, but there ARE games that let you sit!!

VP: We're going to check out the Rayman TV Party too, those bunnies crack me up. If you restart your browser you will probably get the video to play.

The previews don't make that movie look very interesting, but it was a good book. My nephew had to read it last year. I wanna get Wii Fit too, it looks sweet. We're hooked on Wii Music and Guiness World Records at my house. Playstation's starting to get jealous. lol That video is too cute, how'd she do in the competition?
