Christmas 2008

Christmas is over... the tree is bare beneath, toys are strewn over the house, and there are plenty of leftovers in my refrigerator!

Christmas Eve the in-laws came over for dinner, then we had some wine and introduced them to the Wii.

Like Madison's new jersey? This was a gift from her Aunt Toni. :) Four hours later we retired the Wii remotes, put cookies out for Santa, and crashed.

Madison was kind and slept until 7:30 - which never happens! We got up and opened presents and played with new toys all morning:

The in-laws came back over for a Christmas lunch and we opened more gifts:

The hit this year was Polly Pocket - Madison had been asking for them for months so she got quite a bit of them for Christmas, much to her delight. Have you ever seen these? The dolls are small, but their accessories? WAY small. I foresee the vacuum eating a lot of them over the next year, LOL. There was more hours of Wii playing, some good Belgium beer consumed, and fun had by all.

Christmas is my Dad's birthday, but this year with all that was going on with my stepsister, we'd celebrated early so I didn't see him on his birthday. So we took Dad to the Original Pancake House at the new Aliante Station this morning. The food was really good, but the service left a lot to be desired. Hopefully the next time we go over there it's a better experience.

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas, and that you're celebrating the holidays just as you'd prefer, whatever that may entail!! So tell me, Internet... how was your Christmas?

Bare tree = time to take it down. lol
Sounds like good times were had by all. Good to hear y'all had a Merry Christmas. Polly Pocket (and other stuff like that) make me appreciate the fact that I don't have nieces so much more. I'd be pissed stepping on all those little pieces all the time. Ahh the Wii, most addicting thing ever!

My niece got a Polly Pocket set. I picked up some of the accessories and said, "Wow, these are small. You're going to have to keep an eye on them!" She replied, "Yeah, this is why my mom hates Polly Pocket."

Girl, your daughter is getting more beautiful by the day! Polly Pockets remind me of something I had as kids they were called Littles.

I miss the Original Pancake! Wish they had one here - but about an hour away we have a Cracker Barrel and OMG is it good! Madison looks too cute in the jersey! I'm going to have to check out the Rayman game - is it the TV Party one that has the dancing in it? Natalie got a Wii game called Outdoor Challenge that comes with a mat that's supposed to be cool, but we have more games than we have time to play!

After the season the Cowgirls just had....You really shouldn't torture your kid by making her wear that jersey.

C'Mon now..you KNOW I had to say SOMETHING!! Not even in the playoffs? All anyone could talk about was who Dallas would play in the Super Bowl up until week 6. I think we can DEFINITELY call that a CHOKE!!
