Mommy and Maddy Afternoon

I picked up Madison early today, I took her to get her flu shot. When I picked her up early she started to cry. "I don't want to go to the doctor. I'd rather go to the dentist!" We got to her doctor's office, and didn't have to wait at all, which was totally cool. Madison started to cry and scream when the nurse came in. My kid, she has some lungs... when the nurse stuck her with the needle she screamed like that nurse was hacking her leg off. On our way out of the office everyone looked over at poor Madison with tears streaming down her face, and gave her such a long "Awwwww" look.

We walked outside that doctors office and was just fine within like 30 seconds. She already knows how to work a room. I'm doomed.

We had to stop at Albertson's and I stopped and got my flu shot too, but I didn't get any sympathy. Honestly, it was the least painful shot I've ever had. The pharmacist said it was the needles - the cheaper the needles, the more they hurt. Whatever it was, I'm going back there for my flu shot next year.

Here's a shot I took yesterday of Dallas with Madison. He hangs out right there on the counter every night for Madison's bath time. He watches her brush her teeth and just sits there until she's done in the tub. (There's more at Flickr).

You've got a lil drama queen on your hands. Are you sure the "Awwww" look wasn't for the mom who has the child with massive scream capacity?

I like the expression on Dallas' face. It's almost like he's saying, "Cheese".

So, next time she really needs to go to the dentist, are you going to tell her she's going to the doctor?

Nik: Yeah one or two were giving me the smile of sympathy, I'm sure.

Fred: That is a GREAT idea!

I love the little cocked head. So cute! My Nerissa (who Dallas looks like) does this too. Must be a Maine Coon thing.
