Kitchen Gadgets

I don't like to spend much time in the kitchen. I appreciate good food, but my lifestyle doesn't allow for playing in the kitchen. I am also not big on kitchen gadgets.... I have always believed in the basics - less clutter, less cleaning. I've never, however, been able to find a good cheese grater. I eat A LOT of cheese, and it's one of Madison's favorite things, so I really need something functional. Well I broke the last manual cheese grater I had and couldn't find another one that met my needs. I gave in and started considering a gadget, and I came across the Hamilton Beach Change-a-Bowl. I had a food processor, once... it was a wedding gift that never made it out of the box. This slicer/food processor is small, easy to use, and has only a few parts. PLUS, I shred/slice right into a storage bowl if I want to (they've partnered with Gladware for a perfect fit). YES! Something easy and convenient!

I just assembled it and shred 6 cups of cheese in about 3 minutes. I'm such a happy domestic Goddess right now! Which is why I'm here promoting it ... I'm all about sharing life's small conveniences.

Have you unpacked all the toasters yet?

I don't even own a cheese grater or food processor, but this toy you've found sounds awesome. I'd consider buying one, if I could convince myself that it's practical. Glad you've found a bit of domestic bliss and thanks for the product review, I'll keep it in mind.

Hmm, maybe a blog name change to Domestic Diva. What's next, a review of Sham-Wow?

Fred: It's funny because I was married at age 29, you'd think people would figure I'd already had a toaster or two. We got 3.

Nik: I'm guessing you just buy shredded cheese. I got kinda pissed one day when I realized how much they charge you for already grated cheese vs. a block, so I stopped buying it.

Joe: LOL, Domestic Diva. That would be such a sham, ha ha.

I am so proud of you my little Martha Stewart protoge! Can't wait to see you use it in person!
