The Post That Isn't

So I had this rather risqué post twirling around my head since this afternoon and as I sat here to write it, I remembered... my family passes through here now and then. It's cool they do, but specifically, my Dad checks in because he enjoys the funny granddaughter stories. It was then I realized I exercise self-censorship for this very reason. Mind you, Dad is no prude - he's aware I curse like a sailor and is somewhat aware I have a hellraiser past. Besides, he grounded me for it more times than I can count. However, even though I am 37, there are some things Dads don't want to know about their daughters, and some subjects Dad's just don't want to hear their daughters discuss. Even though I am just as sweet and innocent as can be *cough* cha right *cough*.

So, fellow bloggers - tell me, does your family read your blog? If they do, do you censor yourself because they read?

I think my family reads, but they never comment. And I do find myself censoring my blog because they might stop by. :) There are plenty of more things I could write about, that would actually probably make my blog a whole lot more interesting... but oh well. hehe :) It's main purpose is to keep them updated anyway.

I'm less worried about my family reading my blog than my son wanting to, eventually...

I think more than anything Ken's fmaily reads our blogs -- collectively. Since very few leave comment, I never know who is or isn;t reading. For that reason, I try not to spill too much family dirt or say anything that might be offensive. Every once in a while I have a naughty thought or two that I think might make a good post, but then am reminded of some of our frineds' risquier posts and the reactions they got from their families. When that happens, I just call you!

My family, specifically my Uncle the Priest, reads our blogs on a regular basis. He gets a kick out of them, but I totally censor what I put on there especially if I don't want it to get back to my folks.

No they don't. None of my friends (IRL) do either. I would censor myself to death if any of them did which would defeat the point for me.

(Hi Lora's Dad! You raised a wonderful daughter!)

My older brother and some of Lloyd's family read my blog. Not to mention the fact that I am a teacher and you never know if one of my students or their parents find it by accident. So, needless to say I do censor my blog somewhat. I thought about creating a blog that know one knows about so I can really say what is on my mind without worrying about offending any friends or family.

Yes and I censor myself more than I would like. But I have gotten into a habit of warning people of questionable content approaching and then if they read it, well, it was their own fault. However, for the really good stuff, it is nice to have a seperate secret blog for that.

let's see, where to start with that one....my mom is gone, my step dad ran off and I hardly hear from him, I don't talk to my one bro who has a pc, the other I do, but like I said no pc, my sis does read it, my 2 step bro's do - but do I censor at all? hell to the effin no - it's my blog, mine, mine, mine. If people don't like what I have to say then don't read it!
