Happy New Year!!

I wish you a year full of happiness, warm fuzzies, and successes in the new year.

What did you do for New Year's Eve? Was there a drunken blackout? Pure debauchery? Or, did you stay home and avoid the craziness like I did?

Today we took Madison to the Springs Preserve. If you visit the link, it's a very well done website. If you're not local to the Las Vegas area, you can click on "About" at the bottom of the web page and it will explain what it's all about. Madison had a blast, and I really enjoyed the exhibits, as I love Nevada history. Here's a picture (but there are plenty more at the Flickr page):

There was quite a bit to do for adults and children alike... at the Flickr page I tried to give a pretty good description on each picture so you can see some of the attractions. There was a lot I didn't get pictures of, it's really just a small taste.

Tomorrow I'm off (still!), so Madison and I are going to enjoy yet another day without a real schedule, or stress.

I LOVED the Springs Preserve! In fact I think I shall go again because we certainly did not see evrything. Glad you had fun and I hope Maddie learned a bit too! Always good when learning is fun.

What did I do on New Year's? Tried not to freeze my pootukus off down on the Strip broadcasting the New Year's celebrations for people like you to watch at home. :)

I was asleep by 10 because I have a cold :(

I want to take my students to the Springs Preserve for a field trip, but you have to book it a year in advance. 4th grade is all about Nevada History.

BTW you look great! How much weight have you lost?

VP: I was watching your channel last night and thinking about you out there in the cold. We were at home the whole night...

Ken: I think you both will definitely enjoy the Springs Preserve. They have a great outdoor amphitheater and I can't wait to see what kind of things they have scheduled when it gets warmer.

Teri: Oh no, you have this crap I'm just getting over. I hope you're well much faster than I was! Thanks for the compliment, I have no idea how much I've lost, I'm just watching how my clothes fit and not a scale. I'm too impatient and easy discouraged by numbers!

Happy New Year! I've never been to the Springs Preserve... yesterday I went to Mt Charleston and went sledding. There were mexicans sledding on couch cushions. It was AWESOME.

I stayed home and was in bed before midnight. I like to live on the edge like that. ;)

The Springs Preserve looks absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for sharing the link to the website, too. It looks like such a pretty place.
The pic of you and Maddy is adorable. Glad you all had a great time and hope you enjoyed a wonderful New Year.
