What's In My Head

Driving song of the day: "Change" by Tears for Fears

We have 23 days until Disneyland! Just as good - 20 days until my vacation!

The HIMYM season finale worried me a little. They tied up too many loose strings. It makes me think they're worried they won't be renewed. That show is just too damn funny to cancel! I can't wait for season 2 on DVD! To read an article about last night's season finale, click here. I need to go back and re-watch Season 1, I should have plenty of time to do that this summer. Oh, wait. I have about 15 movies already waiting. Where does all the time go?

My advice to you - don't ever use Home Depot for contractor services. I'm STILL dealing with flooring issues, and I'm not getting timely responses from Home Depot or the contractor. I'm really trying to deal with this myself - I have the time during the day to make phone calls, and I can assure you they do NOT want Karl to show up to deal with it. It's really not pretty! I'll give them one more day, then I'm sicking my husband on them.

On the same remodeling note, we've finally decided on some paint and color schemes in the kitchen. I've also decided to change all the window treatments in the kitchen and dining room. So I guess we've got a little while longer until completion.

Mother's Day weekend was really wonderful. Karl had Madison out most of Saturday so I got a nice quiet break. Sunday we didn't do much - Karl wanted to take me to dinner, but why would I want to? Everyone's taking their Moms out; I'd rather not deal with that. So Karl made me a fabulous steak dinner and Dad came over to hang out. So it was busy but really rather uneventful, just how I like it.

Hope you all have a fabulous day!!

I hope you enjoy Disneyland, We had an awesome time at Disney World and learned that going during the week is like 50 x better than going on a weekend. We had 10 full days at all the parks and waterparks - WDW, Epcot, MGM Studios, Disney Quest (free arcades @ Downtown Disney), Typhoon Lagoon, & Blizzard Beach. We also had the Disney dining package, and let me just say that it was WAY worth it. We ate so freaken good. Each quick service or table service meal comes with a drink, appetizer and a dessert. Oh and when you first walk in the park and get your picture done, make sure to get a photo pass card. They are no charge, but make sure to have them scan it each time you have a picture taken, and take my word, TAKE THEM ALL, cause if you wind up like me and have like 50 shots on your card and want 10 packages it is better to buy the CD. With it you own the copyright to ALL the pictures on the pass and can get as many as you want printed and can post them anywhere or burn CD's, plus just for buying the CD you get 3 free 5x7, all for $130. Not bad when you consider individual package price. You can get some good insider info here:

Enjoy your vacay, have fun, and take lots and lots of pictures. Oh, don't forget the extra batteries, chargers, and memory cards! = )

I don't think you need to worry about HIMYM, there are already reports it was picked up for season 3. CBS has their upfronts tomorrow (16th) so you don't have long to wait for confirmation.

Yeah! Disneyland! Takes TONS of pics. Which Disney character is Maddie's favorite? When I took Keven the first time he was into "Captain Cook" and we looked for him all day, finally saw him at the very end...it was so fun.

HIMYM sorta scared me as well, but I started seeing reports yesterday that it was renewed, so it looks safe for another year.

When I had Home Depot tile my house and install carpeting, I had no issues. But I've heard bad things about their sub-contractors. They really nickle and dime them to get the lowest price. Sorry you are having issues.

I'm glad you had a fabulous Mother's Day!

Yeah, is it sad that I'm excited about you going to Disneyland? I've never been to either Disney place, so I get all geeked whenever someone's going. I hope you have such a great time.

HIMYM really left me worried too. Me and my sis were bummed simply because it seemed like they ended a lot of things. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though.

Sorry about Home Depot being jerks. I hope they take care of things for you though.

I'm way late but Happy (belated) Mother's day to you. Ya can't go wrong with a homecooked steak dinner and your Dad there to boot! Hope your week is going great.

I am going to have to borrow someones 1st season of himym. I think I might have some time in a few weeks when summer break starts.

I hope you guys have a great time at Disneyland. Madison is at the age when she should really enjoy it. I can't wait to take Jacob.

What color did you select for your kitchen?

Have fun in Disneyland! I am so jealous you are going.

Well, I knew they were going to make the season finale of HIMYM as either a season or series finale in case it did not get picked up for Season 3. They were waiting to see how the last episode did before requesting more episodes. I am happy to see that it is going to come back because that show is just too awesome with its awesomeness.
