My Mind is Blank

I've been in kind of a writing funk. I got over my cold in three days last week (I thought the wellness gods were smiling upon me), only to be finally hit square in the face with the stomach flu. I forget how much that glues you to the nearest flat surface for at least two days. I didn't even have the energy to walk myself 30 feet from the couch to the kitchen for a glass of water. Needless to say, there hasn't been a whole lot going on with me to write about.

This week, at least, has started out quite well. Dad's back! Even if it is only temporary, I'll take what I can get. I had lunch with a friend yesterday, coworker J. She visits here but never leaves evidence...so say Hi to her in the comments. Friends truly make life easier, in so many respects!

I'll be watching American Idol tonight - I'm hoping I get more into it than I have thus far this season. How about How I Met Your Mother last night? Marshall with a mullet and braces just killed me. Even more than Ted's big perm. LOL
