Weekend Update

Before I get all the phone calls, the emails - Yes, Yes. My Cowboys got spanked tonight. It was really hard to watch that last half...

I am finally starting to feel better today. One of the things I miss about being much younger is the stamina you have despite being sick. Madison bounced back after about two days despite the symptoms she still had. I stayed home Friday in an attempt to kick this but didn't start feeling better until today. It wasn't a bad weekend, but I could have imagined much better.

I'm alone on the team this week at work, and while there are some benefits to that - it's going to be busy. The boss is coming into town to give me an extra set of hands for a couple of days, which is seriously cool.

Karl decided to put up lights on the house this year. We also have this 8' snowman for the front yard, but we didn't manage to get him up this weekend. Here's a picture I took tonight:

Sure, it's nothing to compete with the Griswalds. But this is a big step in our house. I'd all but written off Christmas before motherhood. Lights on the house? Never in my life. Karl's already got plans for next year. In 5 years? We might just take down the power grid. :) I'll get another picture when the snowman is up.

How are you doing on your Christmas shopping? I'm done. I'm DONE! Muahahahahaha.

I have some serious blog reading to catch up on. I hope you all had a great weekend!

The house looks great, and I can only imagine what you and K will come up with next year.

I was so excited to watch the game last night ( I know, can this be me?) and was so sorry (feel the dripping sarcasm) to see the Boys lose. My condolances.

We are mostly done with the shopping, and 3/4 of the Christmas cards. Should be done with it all by Wednesday.

Glad you are feeling better :-)

Sorry your 'Boys lost. Actually, no I'm not. That was a pretty good schooling by Drew Brees and Co.

The house looks good. I am not a fan of putting up lights on my own house - mostly because I'm afraid of heights and wide-right field goals.

Glad to hear you are feeling better.

Ugh I am not even half way done with my shopping this year. We normally put up lights on the house, but not this year, we are just too tired.

Your house looks wonderful.
I am about half way through my shopping ... might finish tomorrow, though.
My cards are done.
I'm happy.
Hope your week is going well.
Take care, Meow

I'm going to have to put my lights photo up. That and some pics of the nieces and nephews at my sister's birthday party. I like the effects of the blue lights on the house. As for the Cowboys... yeah, it wasn't good (except for my fantasy team... Drew got me 45 points.) Hope you all stay healthy through the new year.
