Long Weekend

This was taken Thanksgiving day. My camera is acting up again, so it's a little fuzzy, but it's one of my favorites.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner, the Smith's dinner was seriously fantastic, and the ham was HUGE! What a deal at $39.99. It's been a weekend of fun and family, although I miss my Dad terribly and Karl's had to work Friday and today.

No one warned me, however, that toddlers start hating naps at some point after 2 years old. My "I love my sleep" 2 1/2 year old has decided naps get in the way. Well, that gets in my sanity's way, but we're both adjusting. It doesn't help she's like her Dad in that she is afraid of missing something (that means nosy). We're going to try quiet time even if the nap becomes out of the question.

I added a bunch of pictures to Flickr last night...

I hope you're all enjoying your Thanksgiving weekend!!

Sound like a wonderful holiday! Glad you had a good time. Sorry your hubby has to work today but at least he had off Thanksgiving day. I didn't even have that luxury.

Quiet time sounds like a good idea... just laying still and being quiet. Who knows? Maybe a nap will follow :-)

In any case, I am osrry you are missing your family, but glad I got the chance to see you guys. She just gets cuter and cuter!

Such a cute picture, the fuzziness gives it character.

Sorry to hear that Madison doesn't do naps anymore. Unfortunately kids just start phasing that out on their own, usually without consent. lol All the people I know who have kids do the quiet time thing and they say it works wonders. Here's wishing you the best of luck with that.

I haven't gotten a chance to check out your pix yet, but I will.

Kind of amazing how later in life we revert to wanting more naps again. Hmmm... Oh, btw, I think the photo of Madison is terrific as it has almost a softened touch to it.
