Clairvoyance or Coincidence?

This morning for some reason I had the song "Freedom" by Wham! going through my head - I found myself singing it in the kitchen much to my family's dismay. So I'm driving to work this morning and what do I hear, first song? What are the chances, right?

So I got to thinking about clairvoyance. Not that the above scenario was anything more than coincidence, but it was still weird. I have never been completely in tune with my "sixth sense", I'm one of those people a ghost would probably NEVER present themselves to. I do believe there's a guardian angel out there assigned to me, but think I'll probably never meet him/her. I have, however, had a strange "experience" or two. The one that comes to mind happened over a decade ago - I had this strange dream about a coworker. I dreamt about her marriage - that it was very unhappy and they were splitting up, and that her husband was initiating it. I had no reason to know this, as we were friendly but she was never one to put her personal life out there. So a day or so later I told her about my dream - I don't remember how I told her, but I do know I didn't immediately give specifics (that could have been very hurtful). I remember starting with something like "I had the craziest dream about you the other night" - and I'll never forget the look on her face, because my dream was dead-on, as it had already occurred.

Have you ever had a clairvoyant experience? Tell me about it!

Umm, I'm kind of afraid to tell you because people tend to think I am a freak after they hear it. BUT...here goes:

I have a really strong 6th sense. When I was a kid I used to feel earthquakes that were in other countries. Sometimes I can picture exactly what is about to happen - word for word conversations with people I've never met before - and then they happen almost word for word.

The most recent thing was on July 4th this year when I "saw" (in my mind) my aunt standing in my brother's garage and faint. I knew she was at his house that day but I saw her fall, saw my sister call 9/11, saw the paramedics come. My sister later told me the whole story and I said "yeah, I know". UGH! I feel like a freak! It sounds eerie, but it's just bizarre.

I have a lot of dreams that "come true". I have a friend who says that she believes that feeling of deja vu that we get sometimes is a sign that we are on the right track.

Barbara: You're not a freak! That must drive you nuts sometimes, like a bit of sensory overload!

Heather: I like the idea your friend has about deja vu. I get that a lot.

I can't say that there was ever a moment of clairvoyance in my life. I do get a lot of deja vu. Mainly, I'll see a specific view in my dreams and see the exact same thing walking around unfamiliar territory. I'm kind of happy that I don't see more than that. hahaha

I have this happen quite a bit, and it's awesome to see that there are others out there. So far, the worst thing that I've experienced was about 6 years ago. My sister was pregnant and I was hanging out w/ my best friend. Out of nowhere, we both gut this gut-wrenching feeling. This feeling was so bad, it felt like I couldn't breathe. I was gasping for air and my chest hurt so bad. I just knew something was wrong with my sister. Long story short, she ended up having a miscarriage. There have been other oddities, but that one was the worst. Most of the feelings/senses/whatever are simple things, like telling somebody that they probably shouldn't go somewhere cuz you have a bad feeling about, but they go anyways and wind up in jail.
Barbara-- you are in no way a freak.

No clairvoyance in my life, that I can think of. But, when I got pregnant with Chicky (it was not long after I had lost my wonderful grandmother) I was feeling sad as my grandmother wasn't around to share in this exciting news. One night, in my dream, my grandmother appeared, and was so excited for me, gave me heaps of hugs and kisses, and told me how wonderful it was that I was pregnant. When Chicky was born (I always knew she was going to be a girl), we named her after my grandmother. She is very much like her, in many ways.
Dreams can be very interesting.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Take care, Meow

I've never had an experience that gave me any insights into the future.

I've had the normal "I told you so" moments because I was sure something was going to happen...but nothing out of the ordinary.

Hey Chickee Rocker - I just now found the link to the Bowie site over in the comments at Layla's! THANKS! I don't get alerted when someone leaves a comment there (its set up, it just doesn't work) so I miss comments sometimes.

I really wanted to join the Bowie site but its $65 for a membership!

Dang!!! But I can still enjoy reading them.

I have had so many that is is really hard to say. One of the most recent I have had was a dream. After I bought all the Winnie the Pooh stuff for Jacob's room, I had a dream about showing it to my best friend who passed away. She really liked it and on the blanket was written Best Friends above Pooh and Tiggers head. Not that long ago I took the blanket out of the package and to my surprise the words Best Friends were written above Pooh and Tiggers head. I was not able to see it in the package. It was just one of those things that makes me feel that she is still a big part of my life.

At least it wasn't "Jitter Bug" you were humming!

I have them quite often, thinking of people before the phone rings and it's them, etc. Sometimes I think of someone, and find out they were thinking of me at about the same time.

Also I have been able to see the energy flow between trees. Very interesting orangish light or something that the physical eye can't see. I don't remember how or why I saw it, I just did!

Always!

Barbara - THAT IS TOTALLY COOL!! What awesome gifts you have! You are not a freak. What you have is something that most people have, but just choose to ignore. Your mind is more open and wonderfully receptive.

Same with HEATHER! I have also heard that deja vu's are sign posts that we are on the right life path.

I've had that song thing happen quite a few times. Funny you were thinking of Wham! because yesterday I had their really old song, "Club Tropicana" in my head. I think it was spurred by buying orange juice. Strange. I hadn't heard of that song in ages.

I've had situations occur where I imagine having a conversation with someone and then the conversation happens and it pretty much goes exactly as I thought it would. I don't know if that's a 6th sense or just knowing my friends too well!

I have deja vu a lot. That can be very unnerving.

I have these all the time, mostly dreams that come true in reality. One time I freaked my mom out because I had told her about this vivid dream I had about a yellow farmhouse and a barn across the street and I walked into the barn and all these bats flew out. Two months later we were in Ohio and my father got a call from an old childhood friend of his that I had never met. They invited us out to their house to visit. My father hadn't seen him in over thirty years. When we pulled up it was the same yellow farmhouse I had dreamed about with the barn across the street and when they brought us to the barn and opened the door all these bats flew out. My mom almost died.
