This is Good, Real Good

Karl and I have been together for almost 8 years. Before Madison was born, we ate dinner at an odd hour each weeknight because he came home at strange hours from work. After Madison was born, he always ate leftovers or had to fend for himself, because Madison and I ate long before he got home. This is the first week we've actually gotten home about the same time each night, and we've eaten dinner as a family. He's been home to play with Madison before bathtime. There's a definite calm in the house. I knew this was going to be a good thing, I just didn't realize how good.

This is me, with a big smile on my face!

Loo, the funny thing is that as I read that, I said, "yay for Lora!" Then I read the comments... you and Ken kill me!

I really am glad that your family is cementing even further. Yay for you!

8 years? Really? Time really is flying. Having him be a bigger part of her schedule at night is going to do a lot for her idea of what a family is. Many children miss out on that and I'm happy you can feel the family unit pulling together. This also means more time for both of you also. B)

Amy: "Yay!" LOL When Ken said that I almost fell out of my chair.

Ethel and Meow: Thank you!

Martin: Okay, technically it won't be 8 years until December. I do think Madison is really benefitting, it's great.

That is so wonderful. When Josh was a baby Lloyd and I worked opposite schedules so we didn't need day care. We rarely got to sit and have dinner together. Now we are both on the same schedule with the same days off, and it really is nice (most of the time :0 hehhehehe)
